90+ 50+% humidity AND it rained (didnt help the humidity go down either)...I feel like I am back in japan (though the humidity there was even worse)...

I'm thinkin' ice cream right now.

Well it's 87 at 10 am with a dewpoint of 70. We could hit 100 today with a feels like temperature of 105 to 110. Tomorrow can't get here soon enough.

96 here with humidity of 40%. Dewpoint of 68. Feels like 101. Of course it is 2pm here so ya... There is that.

made it to 95 with 50% humidity (dew point someplace in the 60's I think--print too small on my tv

).....glad that front is here! been windy as....so think the storms are getting set up to give a nice show tonight.

Well we didn't get any rain last night, but the high today is only supposed to be 90 instead of 95... Still hot.

Wife is out of town this weekend with our only car. Means I'm pretty much stuck in the apartment. But my parents are coming and picking me up so I can have dinner at their place and swim.

Win. (Yes I'm 25 and married, but I'm not too old to go to my parents house to swim! Oh, and get picked up by them)

you are never too old to have someone else give you a ride (parents, siblings, aunt/uncles), nor are you ever too old to go home and veg out be it swimming, watching tv, playing games, or just talking.

rain last night, cooler today (sooo glad the front passed us!)

so a friend is coming by to pick me up for lunch (and a bit of shopping)---saves gas that way, his car is a hybred, mine is not and I still need to go and get some gas

for it!

That's good, cause I didn't feel guilty at all. Had a great time swimming and just hanging out with my family. Dad and I talked cars when he brought me back here, mom and I talked school (since we are both teachers) on the way to their place. So it was fun. And good food of course!

No rain here. Hoping for some tomorrow.

The joys of summer, heat, humidity and high water bills. Keeping the yard watered while letting the grandkids stay cool. Even the birds are playing under the sprinkler, and the honey bees are coming by for a drink of water. The neighbor asked me why I water my yard. I looked at his yard, brown and dead looking, then looked at my green lush grass and shrugged my shoulders. "I have nothing better to do."

The wife and I sat on the front porch and watched the sunrise this AM. We were well entertained. Between the birds, Cardinals chasing the Blue Jays, and the squirrels running across the yard and up & down the trees, we were not bored.

Hot again today. 90 but feels like 95... So much for the rain cooling us down...

Wish I had a porch to sit on. Well I guess I have a small deck here but no chairs out there.

cooler here today, got a balcony, but nothing to watch (though I do have a few squirrels they are not usually out during the day), and my water bill is pretty low considering I dont have a lawn or anything else to water

Just checked the weather for here, supposed to be way cooler tomorrow. Low 80's. Don't know how since we aren't having any storms or rain or nothing. Just apparently a little old cool front, or slightly less warm front coming through.

well we had some nice storms last night...and I saw on the weather channel they moved thru the quad cities...so I KNOW they had rain with the front....perhaps you are too far south?
(another day I dont have to water my herbs!)

We did end up getting storms. As I was getting ready for bed I heard thunder and we had storms blow through. We were on the bottom part of the storms, so if I had been much further south it might have missed us. Seems to have cooled things off.

Going out with some of my work friends to go see Pacific Rim today. Heard it is good. Giant robots vs giant monsters. Heck ya.

sounds like a good time, got some more errands to run today (gas for the car--good thing I forgot over the weekend as the price dropped yesterday!)
only movie I went to see this year was star trek, and I will wait for the dvd to come out so I can mute it and actually watch what is going on (not to mention being able to back up and see what I missed).....got it on my xmas list for this year!
Not much of a movie goer anymore, toooooo loud, tooo many people, poorly mantained theaters...and toooo expensive! If its a movie I really want to see, the dvd is usually out in a few months for less than 2 tickets or ....it will be on cable at some point in the not so far off future. (never been one of those 'gotta see it the day it opens' people...really the movie isnt going anywhere for a while).

Ended up not going because 2 of the guys cancelled. Trying again today maybe. And if not wife and I might go see Man of Steel.

Star Trek was pretty good. Though if you had seen the old Star Trek movie that kind of paralleled it, you knew what was going to happen.

I don't like going out to movies much either because they make it so freaking loud. I just want to hear the movie, not go deaf... oh well.
